We occasionally have cats available for adoption that just want to be outside. Consider adopting a working cat, also known as a barn cat. As a humane society, our ultimate goal is that all cats have a home.

Our barn cat program is designed to find feral and community cats safe outdoor homes in barns, warehouses, farms and other safe locations for cats that are not candidates for our traditional adoption programs.

These cats are available for adoption at larimer humane society. If you don’t see an animal that meets your needs, please check back regularly as we are always getting in more cats looking for loving forever homes. That is over 2300 cats a day. (a municipal pet license may be required) if you are interested in adopting a barn cat, or have questions, contact backyardbuddies@thehumanesociety.org.
